ESTIMATION OF GENETIC VARIABILITY AND DIVERGENCE IN SOME SELECTED LINES OF PEARL MILLET [PDF]
The objective of this study was to estimate the genetic variability , heritability , genotypic and phenotypic coefficients of variations , genetic advance , range , genotypic and phenotypic variances and to study the genetic divergence by using ...

Data from: Genotypic diversity and trait variance interact to affect marsh plant performance
1. Intraspecific diversity can have important effects on population, community and ecosystem processes, yet we have little understanding of the relative importance of genetic- vs. trait-based measures of intraspecific diversity. 2.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Genetic Variability and Correlation Studies in elite ‘B’ and ‘R’ lines in Kharif Sorghum [PDF]
The genetic variability and nature of character association was studied in 20 B lines and 16 R lines of kharif sorghum(sorghum bicolor (L) Moench). The genotypic variance was lower than the phenotypic variance for all the characters.High genotypic and ...

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

(a) The intra-colonial variance decreases with increasing numbers of contributing loci. The effect is strongest for the initial increments of loci number and for high mating frequencies, but it is unaffected by genomic recombination rate.

Structural insights and therapeutic targets in Acinetobacter baumannii capsule biosynthesis
Hypervirulent KL49 A. baumannii's capsular polysaccharide contains the nonulosonic acid 8‐epi‐Leg5,7Ac2, synthesized by epimerization via ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC. Crystal structures of ElaA, ElaB, and ElaC reveal their role in CMP‐Leg5,7Ac2 synthesis and regioselective C8 epimerization.
