Morse–Radó theory for minimal surfaces
Abstract For a class of functions (called minimal Radó functions) that arise naturally in minimal surface theory, we bound the number of interior critical points (counting multiplicity) in terms of the boundary data and the Euler characteristic of the domain of the function.

Abstract Premise We recognized the need for a customized imaging protocol for plant specimens at the time of collection for the purpose of three‐dimensional (3D) modeling, as well as the lack of a broadly applicable photogrammetry protocol that encompasses the heterogeneity of plant specimen geometries and the challenges introduced by processes such as

Foundations of Finsler Spacetimes from the Observers’ Viewpoint
Physical foundations for relativistic spacetimes are revisited in order to check at what extent Finsler spacetimes lie in their framework. Arguments based on inertial observers (as in the foundations of special relativity and classical mechanics) are ...

Dynamical Analysis in Chameleon Dark Energy
Abstract A detailed analysis of the phase‐space for the field equations in scalar field cosmology with a chameleon cosmology in a spatially flat Friedmann–Lemaître–Robertson–Walker spacetime is presented. For the matter source it is assumed that it is an ideal gas with a constant equation of state parameter, while for the scalar field potential and the

Experiencia de enseñanza de la Geometría con NeoTrie VR [PDF]
The possibilities of using the new software of virtual reality NeoTrie VR (or Neotrie) to teach geometry to children aged 11- 14 years old are presented. This software is tested for the first time as a part of math lessons at a School in Żernica (Poland).

The influence of equine hoof conformation on the initiation and progression of laminitis
Abstract Background The health and performance of horses are significantly affected by diseases associated with the hoof. Laminitis is a critical hoof disease that causes pain and, potentially, severe hoof and bone pathology. Objective To generate an equine hoof finite element (FE) model to investigate the impact of normal and toe‐in hoof conformations

Curves in the Lorentz-Minkowski plane: elasticae, catenaries and grim-reapers
This article is motivated by a problem posed by David A. Singer in 1999 and by the classical Euler elastic curves. We study spacelike and timelike curves in the Lorentz-Minkowski plane 𝕃2 whose curvature is expressed in terms of the Lorentzian ...

On the structure vector field of a real hypersurface in complex quadric
From the notion of Jacobi type vector fields for a real hypersurface in complex quadric Qm we prove that if the structure vector field is of Jacobi type it is Killing when the real hypersurface is either Hopf or compact.
