Identifying and Fostering Higher Levels of Geometric Thinking
Pierre M. Van Hiele created five levels of geometric thinking. We decided to identify the level of geometric thinking in the students in Slovenia, aged 9 to 11 years. The majority of students (60.7 %) are at the transition between the zero (visual) level and the first (descriptive) level of geometric thinking.

Ranking and serial thinking: A geometric solution
AbstractA general mathematical description of the way the brain encodes ordinal knowledge of sequences is still lacking. Coherently with the well-established idea of mixed selectivity in high-dimensional state spaces, we conjectured the existence of a linear solution for serial learning tasks. In this theoretical framework, the neural representation of

Analisis Kebutuhan Pengembangan Instrumen Penilaian Kemampuan Berpikir Geometri Berbasis Website
The ability to think geometrically is hierarchical so students need to master the initial level of thinking before they are going to the next level. Geometry learning strategies need to consider the level of students' thinking abilities.
