The Challenge of Icy Sample Return Begins With Artemis
Abstract Throughout the Solar System, volatiles are found as solid ices. Returning ices to Earth for scientific analysis is critical to understanding the formation of a Solar System that bears life. This challenge begins with the Artemis missions to the lunar south polar region, where the coldest lunar regolith is enriched in H2O and other ices—systems

ABSTRACT This study elucidates the oxidation mechanisms governing Y/Hf‐doped AlCoCrFeNiTi high‐entropy alloys (HEAs) and reveals the pivotal role of fabrication processes in dictating high‐temperature oxidation behavior. We demonstrate that casting and spark plasma sintering (SPS) promote Y/Hf segregation, resulting in heterogeneous oxide formation and

Influence of laser radiation on optical properties of semiconductor materials
In this paper, the transmission and reflection spectra of n-Si(100) single crystals are measured; n-GaAs(100); solid solutions of Ge1-хSiх (х=0.85) in the range (0.2 – 1.7)·10-6 m before and after laser irradiation at the wavelength λ = 532 nm.

Integration of Laser‐Patterned Photonic Crystals in Si Solar Cells
Photonic crystal textures are integrated into silicon solar cells using laser‐patterned alumina masks and plasma etching. An isotropic defect‐removal process preserves surface passivation and optical quality, enabling 23.1% efficiency. This scalable process with periodically anchored masks and Bessel‐beam patterning marks an important step toward ...
