Synthesis and Glycosidase Inhibition Studies of Novel Exoglycals Targeting GH3 Family Enzymes: Insights from Comparative Analysis with Macrolide Antibiotics

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 32, Issue 29, 7 August 2026.
A series of structurally diverse exoglycals was synthesized using a modified Julia‐olefination approach from sugar‐derived precursors. These glycosidase transition‐state mimics were further diversified via CuAAC chemistry to yield triazole‐conjugated analogues.

Eliminating hydrolytic activity without affecting the transglycosylation of a GH1 β-glucosidase [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Microbiology and Biotechnology, 2016
Unveiling the determinants for transferase and hydrolase activity in glycoside hydrolases would allow using their vast diversity for creating novel transglycosylases, thereby unlocking an extensive toolbox for carbohydrate chemists. Three different amino acid substitutions at position 220 of a GH1 β-glucosidase from Thermotoga neapolitana caused an ...

Severe Growth Hormone Deficiency in an Indian Boy Caused by a Novel 6 kb Homozygous Deletion Spanning the GH1 Gene

open access: yesJCRPE
Growth disorders resulting in extreme short stature (ESS) are often a result of deficiency in growth hormone (GH) released from the pituitary gland or a defective GH releasing receptor.

FishChip: Development of a High‐Throughput qPCR Assay for Freshwater Fish eDNA Quantification and Its Comparison With Droplet Digital PCR

open access: yesMolecular Ecology Resources, Volume 26, Issue 6, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Quantitative monitoring of fish using environmental DNA (eDNA) typically relies on quantitative real‐time PCR (qPCR) and droplet digital PCR (ddPCR), yet both methods are constrained in throughput, making it difficult to meet the demands of basin‐scale surveys.

A Novel Tannase from the Xerophilic Fungus Aspergillus niger GH1

open access: yesJournal of Microbiology and Biotechnology, 2009
Aspergillus niger GH1 previously isolated and identified by our group as a wild tannase producer was grown under solid-state (SSC) and submerged culture (SmC) conditions to select the enzyme production system. For tannase purification, extracellular tannase was produced under SSC using polyurethane foam as the inert support.

Development of human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 by yeast display

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, Volume 16, Issue 7, Page 1358-1369, July 2026.
Human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 are generated by yeast display‐guided selection. These antibodies bind to soluble and cell‐surface forms of TARM1. Also, these antibodies exhibit agonistic activity in the NFAT‐GFP reporter assay, indicating that TARM1 signaling can be functionally modulated by antibodies and suggesting TARM1 as a potential ...

Intersection Numbers of the Natural Embedding of the Twisted Triality Hexagon T ( q 3 , q ) in PG ( 7 , q 3 )

open access: yesJournal of Combinatorial Designs, Volume 34, Issue 7, Page 306-329, July 2026.
ABSTRACT In this paper, we study and characterise the natural embedding of the twisted triality hexagon T ( q 3 , q ) in PG ( 7 , q 3 ). We begin by describing the possible intersections of subspaces of PG ( 7 , q 3 ) with T ( q 3 , q ). Then, we provide conditions on a set of lines ℒ, which ensure that ℒ forms the line set of a naturally embedded ...

Polymorphism of the Gonadotropin‐Releasing Hormone Receptor Gene and Its Association With Production Traits in Isfahani Native Hens

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 4, July 2026.
This research was conducted to identify genetic polymorphisms of the GNRHR gene on Isfahan native hen traits and their relationship with production traits. For this purpose, blood was taken, DNA was extracted, the target fragment was amplified and directly sequenced, and finally it was blasted with the reference gene in NCBI.

Nanoshell Fabrication Techniques for Probiotic Encapsulation: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yeseFood, Volume 7, Issue 3, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Probiotics, beneficial microorganisms, confer numerous health benefits when administered. However, their efficacy is hindered by harsh gut conditions, including acidity, bile acids, and enzymatic degradation. To overcome these challenges, encapsulation and nanoshell technology have emerged as a pivotal strategy to enhance probiotic stability ...

Effect of GRF and Somatostatin on 7B2 Secretion by Rat GH1 Cells.

open access: yesEndocrinologia Japonica, 1989
A novel pituitary protein "7B2" was secreted by GH1 cells. The secretion of 7B2 was increased in the presence of human GRF in a dose-responsive manner. In contrast, a somatostatin analog, SMS 201-995, revealed the inhibitory effects on the basal- and GRF-induced secretion of 7B2 at the concentration of 10(-7) M.
