Applying Distinct CDMS Strategies to Observe Nonclassical Virus Capsid Assembly
ABSTRACT In conventional native mass spectrometry (MS), one faces severe limitations when challenged with heterogeneous, high‐mass samples, commonly failing to resolve clear peak distributions, and thus mass determination. Charge detection MS (CDMS) has emerged as a premier method to analyze these samples by determining mass‐to‐charge ratio (m/z) and ...

Unraveling Oral Dysbiosis: Microbial Complexity in Common Oral Diseases
The oral microbiome undergoes dynamic establishment from birth, maturing into a resilient ecosystem. Perturbation of this homeostasis—driven by dietary, immunological, and anatomical factors—triggers dysbiosis, which underpins the pathogenesis of major oral diseases, including dental caries, periodontal disease, salivary gland disorders, oral mucosal ...

Human Gut Phageome Analysis Uncovers Thousands of Highly Modular Endolysins
Analysis of 9141 human gut metagenomes identified 15,267 phage genomes and 3794 highly modular endolysins. The recovered endolysins showed remarkable catalytic and cell wall–binding domain diversity, highlighting the gut phageome as a rich source of novel enzybiotics with therapeutic potential against multidrug‐resistant bacteria.
