Extraction, isolation and purification for Ginkgolide B
China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica, 2010To establish a simple extraction, isolation and purification method for ginkgolide B from ginkgo leaf. The optimum conditions of extraction, isolation and purification were studied by taking the transfer rate of ginkgolide B as index.Ginkgo leaf was extracted with 70% ethanol for three times, the extracts were concentrated to remove ethanol and diluted ...

Determination of the derivative from ginkgolide B
Natural Product Research, 2008A new compound decomposed from ginkgolide B(GB) is discovered and identified by MS and UV spectrum. It is the dehydrate of GB, which was named as ginkgolide K before. Differently, it cannot exist independently, but only in equilibrium with GB. It is found first time that 3-hydroxy is active in some solvent.

AbstractBy hydrogenation of 3,14‐didehydro‐10‐hydroxyginkgolide (3,14‐anhydroginkgolide A, 1) the 3,14‐didehydro‐10‐hydroxyginkgolide‐15‐acid (2) was obtained. Reaction with diazomethane led to the methyl ester 2a, which was transformed into its MOM derivative 2b.

The Total Synthesis of (±)-Ginkgolide B
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2000The total synthesis of the potent PAF antagonist ginkgolide B has been accomplished. The complex architecture of ginkgolide B which includes six rings, eleven stereogenic centers, ten oxygenated carbons, and four contiguous fully substituted carbons is a daunting challenge for chemical synthesis. The synthesis of ginkgolide B was accomplished through a

Ionization Constants of Ginkgolide B in Aqueous Solution
Analytical Chemistry, 1996The thermodynamic ionization constants (pK(a)(1), pK(a)(2), and pK(a)(3)) of ginkgolide B (9H-1,7a-(epoxymethano)-1H,6aH-cyclopenta[c]furo[2,3-b]furo-[3',2':3,4]cyclopenta[1,2-d]furan-5,9,12-(4H)-trione, 3-tert-butylhexahydro-4,7b,11-trihydroxy-8-methyl-) in aqueous solution have been settled by pH-metric and NMR studies.
