Effects of ginsenoside Rb1 on central cholinergic metabolism.
Pharmacology, 1991Ginsenosides, the saponins of ginseng, are bioactive ingredients which exert many beneficial effects. One ginsenoside, Rb1, extracted from North American ginseng (Panax quinquefolium L.), partially prevents the memory deficits induced by a cholinergic agent (scopolamine) in rats.

[Purification of a ginsenoside-Rb1 hydrolase from Helix snailase].
Sheng wu gong cheng xue bao = Chinese journal of biotechnology, 2009Through a combination of twice DEAE chromatography by NaCl stepwise and gradient elution with gel filtration chromatography, a kind of ginsenoside-Rb1 hydrolase from crude Helix snailase was separated. The hydrolase was purified to apparent homogeneity on SDS-PAGE.
