Lp-Lq boundedness of continuous linear operators on smooth manifolds

In this paper, we study the boundedness of global continuous linear operators on smooth manifolds. Using the notion of a global symbol, we extend a classical condition of Hormander type to guarantee the L-p-L-q-boundedness of global operators.

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

Circulating microRNA signatures of cachexia and cancer in Canis familiaris as a comparative oncology model for human disease

Circulating microRNAs as biomarkers of cachexia and sex‐specific cancer in senior dogs. In 25 client‐owned dogs, four circulating miRNAs (miR‐15a, miR‐15b, miR‐16, miR‐140) were downregulated in cachexia, with miR‐16 the strongest individual biomarker (AUC = 0.899).

CEACAM1 participation in breast cancer progression

In invasive breast cancer (BC), CEACAM1 shifts from an apical to a uniform membranous/cytoplasmic pattern, or is lost, as tumors dedifferentiate, inversely tracking the Ki‐67 proliferative index. In MCF‐7 cells, only CEACAM1‐4L suppresses proliferation, repressing cell cycle and growth factor genes.

Mechanisms and therapeutic opportunities of the ribotoxic stress response in cancer

Cancer cells' high translational demand creates opportunities to therapeutically target ribosome function. Ribosome stalling and collisions activate ZAKα and the ribotoxic stress response (RSR), which can trigger rapid, p53‐independent apoptosis in cancer.

Boundedness for maximal operators over hypersurfaces in $\mathbb{R}^3$ [PDF]

In this article, we study maximal functions related to hypersurfaces with vanishing Gaussian curvature in $\mathbb{R}^3$. Firstly, we characterize the $L^p\rightarrow L^q$ boundedness of local maximal operators along homogeneous hypersurfaces.
