Isocitrate Dehydrogenase Mutations in Cancer: From Bench to Bedside Applications
Mutant isocitrate dehydrogenase affects multiple cancer types. Alterations in IDH1 and IDH2 result in abnormal enzyme activity, leading to the overproduction of D‐2‐hydroxyglutarate (D‐2HG). This metabolite disrupts cellular metabolism and epigenetic regulation, driving cancer initiation, progression, and metastasis.

Review Article: Targeting Peroxisome Proliferator‐Activated Receptors in Primary Biliary Cholangitis
Peroxisome proliferator‐activated receptor (PPAR) agonists have emerged as important second‐line treatments in primary biliary cholangitis, with profiles influenced by different selectivity for α‐, δ‐ and γ‐isoforms. PPAR‐α and PPAR‐δ agonism improve cholestasis, with inflammation reduced via all isoforms. PPAR‐δ agonism also reduces pruritus.

Background and purpose Opioids targeting the μ opioid receptor remain largely ineffective in neuropathic pain conditions, emphasizing the need for novel therapeutic strategies. MP135 was reported to reduce thermal nociception in naive animals by activating μ‐δ opioid receptor heteromers.
