Effect of gene-gene and gene-environment interactions associated with antituberculosis drug-induced hepatotoxicity [PDF]
This study evaluated the association between environmental factors and genetic variations in enzymes that metabolize antituberculosis (anti-TB) drugs [arylamine N-acetyltransferase 2, cytochrome P450 2E1 (CYP2E1), glutathione S-transferase theta 1 (GSTT1)

This study prepares copper tungstate (CuWO4, CWO) nanoparticles for synergistic sono‐enhanced cuproptosis‐based cancer therapy. With an ultrasmall bandgap (1.71 eV), CWO facilitates efficient charge carrier separation under ultrasound, enhancing the generation of reactive oxygen species and the controlled release of Cu2+ ions cascade amplify oxidative ...

Arabidopsis thaliana dehydroascorbate reductase 2 : conformational flexibility during catalysis [PDF]
Dehydroascorbate reductase (DHAR) catalyzes the glutathione (GSH)-dependent reduction of dehydroascorbate and plays a direct role in regenerating ascorbic acid, an essential plant antioxidant vital for defense against oxidative stress.

Glutathione-S-Transferase and Thiol Stress in patients with acute renal failure [PDF]
Introduction: Tubular damage is common finding in acute renal failure (ARF). Various etiologies have been put forth to explain the tubular damage in ARF, one important mechanism among them is oxidative damage to renal tubules.

Increased levels of DNA methyltransferases are associated with the tumorigenic capacity of prostate cancer cells [PDF]
DNA methylation might be the earliest somatic genome changes in prostate cancer that also play an important role in the process of tumor invasion, growth and metastasis.

Identification and Application of a Novel Patulin Degrading Enzyme From Meyerozyma guilliermondii
Patulin (PAT), a hazardous mycotoxin, threatens human health. A novel yeast‐derived short‐chain dehydrogenase/reductase effectively degrades PAT into nontoxic ascladiol via catalytic triad activity. The biological detoxification process has no significant effect on the quality of fresh pear juice.

PP1A dephosphorylates Keap1 at the S104 site, stabilizing and promoting the nuclear translocation of Nrf2, which upregulates the expression of antioxidant genes and PD‐L1. This leads to suppressed ferroptosis and enhanced immune evasion, thereby improving the efficacy of TKI and ICI combination therapy.

Adaptive mitochondrial mechanisms allow mitochondrial resilience and prevent the worsening of fibrosis, while deregulation of these mechanisms promotes the progression from no/minimal‐mild (F0‐F2) fibrosis to advanced fibrosis and cirrhosis (F3‐F4). Abstract Background and Aims Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection causes oxidative stress (OS) and alters ...
