Effects of Ultrasonic-Assisted Extraction on the Physicochemical Properties of Different Walnut Proteins

open access: yesMolecules, 2019
The effects of ultrasonic-assisted extraction (UAE, 200 W, 20 min) on the yield and physicochemical properties of different walnut proteins (WNPs, including albumin, globulin, and glutelin) were investigated.

Isolation and Identification of Antioxidant Peptides Derived from Cricket (Gryllus bimaculatus) Protein Fractions

open access: yesInsects, 2023
Crickets contain high protein content that can be used to improve nutrition but are less exploited. This study was conducted to isolate different Cricket Protein Fractions including albumin, globulin, glutelin, and prolamin.

Enhanced iron and zinc accumulation in genetically engineered wheat plants using sickle alfalfa (Medicago falcata L.) ferritin gene [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Iron deficiency is the most common nutritional disorder, affecting over 30% of the world’s human population. The primary method used to alleviate this problem is nutrient biofortification of crops so as to improve the iron content and its availability in

Effect of Extrusion Treatment on Retrogradation and Rheological Properties of Rice Starch/Glutelin Composite System [PDF]

open access: yesShipin Kexue, 2023
The retrogradation of rice starch is the major factor that restricts its application. Recent studies have suggested that extrusion combined with glutelin has an obvious inhibitory effect on the retrogradation of rice starch.

Nucleotide sequence of a rice glutelin gene [PDF]

open access: yesFEBS Letters, 1987
A gene encoding the major rice storage protein, glutelin, was isolated and its nucleotide sequence was determined. The cloned gene (λINE 3) contains three short introns and codes for a prepro‐glutelin protein of 499 amino acids (M r 56 305) identical with that deduced from the type II glutelin cDNA.

QTL Mining and Validation of Grain Nutritional Quality Characters in Rice (Oryza sativa L.) Using Two Introgression Line Populations

open access: yesAgriculture, 2023
Nutritional grain quality is mainly influenced by the protein fraction content and grain protein content. Quantitative trait loci (QTL) mining for five traits, about 245 and 284 BC3F3 individual families of two introgression line (IL) populations were ...
