Engineering a Function into a Glycosyltransferase
As glycosyltransferases found in nature often show distinct substrate specificity, glycosyltransferase engineering is an important research field. In this work, we were able to introduce an activity into a glycosyltransferase involved in natural product (landomycin E) biosynthesis.

Disulfide Bond–Modified Proteomics Reveals the Effects of Riboflavin on Protein Folding Dynamics
Riboflavin deficiency impairs oxidative protein folding, causing ER misfolded protein accumulation, CHOP activation, and apoptosis, revealing a role of riboflavin in proteostasis. ABSTRACT Riboflavin is a crucial micronutrient essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis, acting as an important precursor for flavoproteins that utilize flavin ...

ABSTRACT Alpha‐1‐antitrypsin (A1AT) is a multifunctional, clinically important, high‐value therapeutic glycoprotein that can be used for the treatment of many diseases, such as A1AT deficiency, diabetes, graft‐versus‐host disease, cystic fibrosis, and various viral infections. Currently, the only U.S. food and drug administration‐approved treatment for

Plant species richness was greater in summer in both alpine and subalpine grassland ecosystems. Soil moisture demonstrates significant positive correlations with soil organic carbon and total nitrogen across seasonal periods. Microbial α‐diversity peaks during summer but maintains functional stability across seasons.

Abstract Background Seed shattering limits the production of Elymus sibiricus L., and application of exogenous brassinosteroid significantly alleviates plant organ abscission. Methods To explore the potential regulatory network of brassinosteroid on seed shattering, the abscission zone of E. sibiricus cv. Lanyu No.

Abstract Objective To investigate the role of ST3 β‐galactoside α‐2,3‐sialyltransferase 1 (ST3Gal1) and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGF‐R2) in endometrioid‐type epithelial ovarian cancer (E‐OC) because aberrant α2,3‐sialylation mediated by ST3Gal1 and VEGF‐R2‐related angiogenesis is linked with tumor progression. Methods ST3Gal1 and
