Towards inhibitors of glycosyltransferases: A novel approach to the synthesis of 3-acetamido-3-deoxy-D-psicofuranose derivatives

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2015
A novel synthetic strategy leading to 3-acetamido-3-deoxy-D-psicofuranose 9 is presented. The latter compound, after some manipulations, was transformed into fully protected 3-acetamido-3-deoxy-D-psicofuranose 11 as a potential substrate for the ...

Targeting Golgi–STING Signaling to Reprogram Innate and Adaptive Immunity for the Treatment of Implant‐Associated Infections

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents an ultrasound‐responsive nanoplatform, CS‐BT@MZ@NEs, with a BaTiO3/Mn‐Zif‐8 core and a chondroitin sulfate coating for Golgi targeting. By leveraging neutrophil hitchhiking, it enables targeted delivery to infection sites. Under ultrasound stimulation, CS‐BT@MZ@NEs generates ROS and modulates Golgi pH to activate cGAS–STING ...

SSR4 sustains Tertiary Lymphoid Structures by Regulation Quality Control of N‐linked Glycosylation During B‐cell Differentiation Into Plasmacyte in Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SSR4, a TRAP component induced in B cells, governs BAFFR N‐glycosylation via DDOST to sustain NF‐κB signaling, B‐cell differentiation, and TLS maturation. Its loss impairs anti‐tumor immunity, while overexpression improves antibody glycosylation and ADCC, revealing a critical regulator for cancer immunotherapy.

Secoisolariciresinol Diglucoside of Flaxseed and Its Metabolites: Biosynthesis and Potential for Nutraceuticals

open access: yesFrontiers in Genetics, 2018
Secoisolariciresinol diglucoside (SDG), found mainly in flaxseed, is one of the essential lignans. SDG, as well as the beneficial fatty acid composition and high fiber content, has made flaxseed an important source of functional food or nutraceutical ...

Ectopic localizations of Golgi glycosyltransferases [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Glycosyltransferases involved in N- and O-glycan chain elongation and termination are localized in the Golgi apparatus. Early evidence in support of this rule was based on fractionation techniques and was corroborated by numerous immunocytochemical ...

Expression cloning of glycosyltransferases [PDF]

open access: yesGlycobiology, 1996
Cloning of cDNAs encoding glycosyltransferases enters into a new era because of the advent of expression cloning for glycosyltransferases. This mini-review summarizes a short historical view on the development of this method and surveys various improvements over the original method. This review also emphasizes the advantages of those recently developed

Single‐Cell Reveal GALNT7‐Dependent Ferroptosis Suppression as a Mechanism of Immunotherapy Resistance in Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Integrated clinical and mechanistic analyses identify GALNT7 as a ferroptosis‐suppressive regulator associated with immunotherapy resistance in non‐small cell lung cancer. GALNT7 depletion promotes lipid peroxidation, mitochondrial dysfunction, and ferroptosis, enhances CD8+ T‐cell activation and IFN‐γ production, and sensitizes tumors to PD‐1 blockade,
