Glycyrrhizic acid derivatives as Dengue virus inhibitors

open access: yesBioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters, 2019
Dengue virus (DENV) is one of the most geographically distributed pathogenic flaviviruses transmitted by mosquitoes Aedes sps. In this study, the structure-antiviral activity relationships of Glycyrrhizic acid (GL) derivatives was evaluated by the inhibitory assays on the cytopathic effect (CPE) and viral infectivity of DENV type 2 (DENV2) in Vero E6 ...

Extraction of Glycyrrhizic Acid and Glabridin from Licorice [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Molecular Sciences, 2008
The extraction and separation conditions of glycyrrhizic acid and glabridin from licorice were investigated. By changing the different extraction solvents, procedures, times and temperature, the optimum extraction condition was established: the used of ethanol/water (30:70, v/v) as an extraction solvent, and 60 min dipping time under 50°C. The extracts

Thermally Gated Dual‐Cascade Nanozyme for Enhanced Mild‐Temperature Photothermal Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A thermo‐responsive cascade nanozyme (Ru‐GOx‐PNN) synergistically enhances mild photothermal therapy by dual suppression of HSP70 through ROS‐induced lipid peroxidation and ATP depletion. This intelligent system effectively overcomes thermotolerance and amplifies apoptosis, offering a safe and precise strategy for tumor treatment.

Enrichment of the Glycyrrhizic Acid from Licorice Roots (Glycyrrhiza glabra L.) by Isoelectric Focused Adsorptive Bubble Chromatography

open access: yesJournal of Analytical Methods in Chemistry, 2016
The main aim of this study was to enrich glycyrrhizic acid ammonium salt known as one of the main compounds of licorice roots (Glycyrrhiza glabra L.) by isoelectric focused adsorptive bubble separation technique with different foaming agents.

Glycyrrhizic acid nanoparticles inhibit LPS-induced inflammatory mediators in 264.7 mouse macrophages compared with unprocessed glycyrrhizic acid

open access: yesInternational Journal of Nanomedicine, 2013
Glycyrrhizic acid (GA), the main component of radix glycyrrhizae, has a variety of pharmacological activities. In the present study, suspensions of GA nanoparticles with the average particle size about 200 nm were prepared by a supercritical antisolvent (SAS) process.
