The reaction of the ligand Et4todit (4,5,6,7-Tetrathiocino-[1,2-b:3,4-b']-diimidazolyl-1,3,8,10-tetraethyl-2,9-dithione) with gold complexes leads to the dinuclear gold(I) complexes [{Au(C6F5)}2(Et4todit)] and [Au(Et4todit)]2(OTf)2, which do not contain ...

Five-coordinate gold(III) complexes of the Kläui ligands [(η⁵-C₅H₅)Co{P(O)(OR)₂}₃]− (R°=°Me, Et) [PDF]
The reactions of cycloaurated gold(III) dichloride complexes [LAuCl₂] (L°=°2-C₆H₄CH₂NMe₂ or 2-C₆H₄PPh₂ NPh) with monoanionic tripodal oxygen donor Kläui ligands [(η⁵-C₅H₅)Co{P(O)(OR) ₂}₃]− (R°=°Me or Et) results in the formation of cationic gold(III ...

Gold(I) and Gold(III) Trifluoromethyl Derivatives
AbstractTrifluoromethylation of AuCl3 by using the Me3SiCF3/CsF system in THF and in the presence of [PPh4]Br proceeds with partial reduction, yielding a mixture of [PPh4][AuI(CF3)2] (1′) and [PPh4][AuIII(CF3)4] (2′) that can be adequately separated. An efficient method for the high‐yield synthesis of 1′ is also described.

Formation of Gold(III) Alkyls from Gold Alkoxide Complexes [PDF]
The gold(III) methoxide complex (C∧N∧C)AuOMe (1) reacts with tris(p-tolyl)phosphine in benzene at room temperature under O abstraction to give the methylgold product (C∧N∧C)AuMe (2) together with O=P(p-tol)3 ((C∧N∧C) = [2,6-(C6H3t Bu-4)2pyridine]2-). Calculations show that this reaction is energetically favorable (ΔG = -32.3 kcal mol-1).
