Gorenstein rings and Kustin-Miller unprojection [PDF]
Chapter 1 briefly describes the motivation for the thesis and presents some background material. Chapter 2 develops the foundations of the theory of unprojection in the local and projective settings.

Rings graded by polycyclic-by-finite groups
We use the duality between group gradings and group actions to study polycyclic-by-finite group-graded rings. We show that, for such rings, graded Noetherian implies Noetherian and relate the graded Krull dimension to the Krull dimension.

Derived equivalences of upper-triangular ring spectra via lax limits
We extend a theorem of Ladkani concerning derived equivalences between upper-triangular matrix rings to ring spectra. Our result also extends an analogous theorem of Maycock for differential graded algebras.

A theory of grade for commutative rings [PDF]
A theory of grade is developed using R-sequences, the Koszul complex and standard homological algebra. Most results of interest are for finitely generated ideals.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Let S be a semigroup. A ring R with a direct sum decomposition R = ⊕ Rs such that RsRt ⊆ Rst for elements s and t in S is called a semigroup graded ring.

Fitting ideals and module structure [PDF]
Let R be a commutative ring with a 1. Original work by H. Fitting showed how we can associate to each finitely generated E-module a unique sequence of R-ideals, which are known as Fitting Ideals. The aim of this thesis is to undertake an investigation of

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...
