Engineering Neutrophil Vesicles for Synergistic Protection against Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury after Lung Transplant

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Engineered neutrophil‐derived vesicles (SOD2‐Fer‐1@CVs) co‐delivering antioxidant and ferroptosis‐inhibitory agents enable inflammation‐targeted, ROS‐responsive therapy for ischemia–reperfusion injury in lung transplantation. Synergizing with ex vivo lung perfusion, this strategy alleviates oxidative stress and inflammation, restores vascular integrity,

CXCR1 Depletion in Ly6C+ cDC2 Alleviates Acute Lung Injury via Modulation of Th17/Treg Balance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pro‐inflammatory Ly6C⁺ cDC2s are identified as key effector cells mediating Cxcr1 signaling, driving the progression of ALI. Ly6C⁺ cDC2s release high levels of Il‐6 and Il‐1β, inducing Th17 differentiation. Cxcr1 deficiency reduces Il‐6 and Il‐1β production from Ly6C⁺ cDC2s through suppressing MEK1/ERK /NF‐κB signaling, thereby shifts naïve T cells ...

Mitochondrial Transplantation Augments the Reparative Capacity of Macrophages Following Myocardial Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial transplantation induces macrophage polarization toward an anti‐inflammatory M2 phenotype, enhances their reparative capacities, and facilitates mitochondrial transfer to cardiomyocytes, collectively promoting tissue repair and functional recovery post‐myocardial infarction.

New Paradigms in Rejection Monitoring: Lymphocyte Subsets as Noninvasive Graft Markers in Vascularized Composite Allotransplantation

open access: yesPlastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Global Open
Background:. In vascularized composite allotransplantation, face transplantation stands as a transformative intervention for patients with severe facial disfigurement. Monitoring of graft rejection, however, remains a critical challenge. This study aimed

Biodegradable Zinc‐Based Alloys for Guided Bone Regeneration Membranes: Feasibility, Current Status, and Future Prospects

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Recent research has shown that biodegradable metals based on zinc (Zn) may be used as guided bone regeneration (GBR) membrane materials. This study examines their viability from the standpoints of material science and biology, reports on the state of research on Zn‐based GBR membranes, and suggests specific development plans based on the potential and ...

Simultaneously Boosting Freshwater Productivity and Antifouling Efficacy of Membrane Distillation Through In Situ Micro‐Bubble Generation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A superhydrophobic functional coating composed of γ‐MnO2 and perfluorodecyltrichlorosilane (FDTS) is capable of decomposing H2O2 and generating in situ micro‐bubbles on the membrane surface. The dynamic bubbles intensify the turbulence, enhancing the heat and mass transfer during membrane distillation (MD).
