Granulation

open access: yesInternational Journal for Research in Applied Science and Engineering Technology, 2023
bstract: Granulation is one of the most important unit operations in the production of pharmaceutical oral dosage form. It is the process in which primary powder particles are made to adhere to form larger multiparticle entities called granules. the Granulation process will improve flow and compression characteristics, reduce segregation, improve ...

Seta‐Inspired Mechano‐Intelligent Janus Bandage with Coordinated Adhesion–Contraction for Minimizing Scarring

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We developed a bioinspired mechano‐intelligent Janus bandage (MIB) with a hydrophobic flat exterior and a hydrophilic interior featuring gecko‐mimicking wedged microstructures, fabricated via micromolding and anisotropic plasma treatment. The MIB dynamically synchronizes adhesion and contraction, enabling precise force modulation.

Dilatancy, Jamming, and the Physics of Granulation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Granulation is a process whereby a dense colloidal suspension is converted into pasty granules (surrounded by air) by application of shear. Central to the stability of the granules is the capillary force arising from the interfacial tension between ...

Evidence for Granulation and Oscillations in Procyon from Photometry with the WIRE satellite

open access: yes, 2005
We report evidence for the granulation signal in the star Procyon A, based on two photometric time series from the star tracker on the WIRE satellite. The power spectra show evidence of excess power around 1 milliHz, consistent with the detection of p ...

Asteroseismology of 16000 Kepler Red Giants: Global Oscillation Parameters, Masses, and Radii

open access: yes, 2018
The Kepler mission has provided exquisite data to perform an ensemble asteroseismic analysis on evolved stars. In this work we systematically characterize solar-like oscillations and granulation for 16,094 oscillating red giants, using end-of-mission ...
