Nutrition Today, 2013
This article reviews grapes, grape products, and their health benefits in humans. Research indicates that grapes and grape juice have strong cardioprotective and anti-inflammatory effects in adults. A review of this research is presented, and practical recommendations for incorporating grapes into a healthy diet to optimize these effects are provided.

Numerous epidemiological studies have shown an inverse correlation between moderate consumption of alcoholic drinks and the risk of coronary heart disease. Wine, especially red wine, may be more favorable in this respect than beer or spirits because of its high content of flavonoids.

Epidemiologic studies suggest that mild-to-moderate wine consumption is associated with a reduced incidence of mortality and morbidity from coronary heart disease. Because wines are produced from grapes, this study was done to determine whether the grapes were equally cardioprotective.

Melatonin in grapes and grape-related foodstuffs: A review
Food Chemistry, 2017A decade has passed since melatonin was first reported in grapes in 2006. During this time, melatonin has not only been found in the berries of most wine grape (Vitis vinifera L.) cultivars, but also in most grape-related foodstuffs, e.g. wine, grape juice and grape vinegar.

The goal of the Gravity Pipe (GRAPE) project is to accelerate astrophysical N-body simulations. Because almost all computing time is spent evaluating the gravitational force between particles, we can greatly accelerate many N-body simulations by developing a specialized hardware system for the force calculation.

We describe the architecture and performance of GRAPE-DR (Greatly Reduced Array of Processor Elements with Data Reduction). It operates as an accelerator attached to general-purpose PCs or x86-based servers. The processor chip of a GRAPE-DR board have 512 cores operating at the clock frequency of 400 MHz.
