Recombination and population structure in salmonella enterica [PDF]
Salmonella enterica is a bacterial pathogen that causes enteric fever and gastroenteritis in humans and animals. Although its population structure was long described as clonal, based on high linkage disequilibrium between loci typed by enzyme ...

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Graph Access Pattern Diagrams (GAP-D): Towards a Unified Approach for Modeling Navigation over Hierarchical, Linear and Networked Structures [PDF]
In this paper we motivate the advantages of a unified, language-independent concept for describing and defining navigation systems based on underlying graph structures. We expect that such an approach will lower the effort for implementing navigation systems with application frameworks while increasing the configurability and reusability of navigation ...

Graph Pattern Matching: From Intractable to Polynomial Time
Graph pattern matching is typically defined in terms of sub-graph isomorphism, which makes it an np-complete problem. Moreover, it requires bijective functions, which are often too restrictive to characterize patterns in emerging applications. We propose

Visualising the structure of document search results: A comparison of graph theoretic approaches
This is the post-print of the article - Copyright @ 2010 Sage PublicationsPrevious work has shown that distance-similarity visualisation or ‘spatialisation’ can provide a potentially useful context in which to browse the results of a query search ...

i-Dataquest: A heterogeneous information retrieval tool using data graph for the manufacturing industry [PDF]
Manufacturing industry needs access to the data in order to realise its activities but also to generate new value-added knowledge. Nevertheless, it is confronted with a large and growing volume of heterogeneous data which limits its ability to exploit ...

COMBINATORIAL ALGORITHMS FOR GRAPH DISCOVERY AND EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN
In this thesis, we study the design and analysis of algorithms for discovering the structure and properties of an unknown graph, with applications in two different domains: causal inference and sublinear graph algorithms.

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

G–PLIP: Knowledge graph neural network for structure-free protein–ligand bioactivity prediction
Protein–ligand interactions (PLIs) determine the efficacy and safety profiles of small molecule drugs. Existing methods rely on either structural information or resource-intensive computations to predict PLI, casting doubt on whether it is possible to ...
