Integration of Relational and Graph Databases Functionally
In today’s multi-model database world there is an effort to integrate databases expressed in different data models. The aim of the article is to show possibilities of integration of relational and graph databases with the help of a functional data model ...

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Graph Pattern Matching: From Intractable to Polynomial Time [PDF]
Graph pattern matching is typically defined in terms of sub-graph isomorphism, which makes it an np-complete problem. Moreover, it requires bijective functions, which are often too restrictive to characterize patterns in emerging applications. We propose

Converting relational to graph databases [PDF]
"Graph Database Management Systems provide an effective and efficient solution to data storage in current scenarios where data are more and more connected, graph models are widely used, and systems need to scale to large data sets. In this framework, the

The Use of Graph Databases for Artificial Neural Networks
Storing and using trained artificial neural network (ANN) models face technical difficulties. These models are usually stored as files and cannot be run directly. An artificial neural network can be structurally expressed as a graph.

In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

House of Graphs 2.0: A database of interesting graphs and more
In 2012 we announced the House of Graphs (https://houseofgraphs.org) [Discrete Appl. Math. 161 (2013), 311-314], which was a new database of graphs. The House of Graphs hosts complete lists of graphs of various graph classes, but its main feature is a searchable database of so called "interesting" graphs, which includes graphs that already occurred as ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.
