We developed a cost‐effective methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex assay containing tissue‐conserved and tumor‐specific methylation markers. The assay can detect circulating tumor DNA with high accuracy in patients with localized and metastatic colorectal cancer.

The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

Preface: optimization in graphs [PDF]
We are honored to be Guest Editors of this special issue of Journal of Combinatorial Optimization dedicated to our friend Gerard Jennhwa Chang on the occasion of his 60th birthday. Gerard received his B.S. in mathematics from National Central University in Taiwan in 1974, and Ph.D. in operations research from Cornell University in USA in 1982.

ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

Today's graphs used in domains such as machine learning or social network analysis may contain hundreds of billions of edges. Yet, they are not necessarily stored efficiently, and standard graph representations such as adjacency lists waste a significant number of bits while graph compression schemes such as WebGraph often require time-consuming ...

GraphX: Unifying Data-Parallel and Graph-Parallel Analytics [PDF]
From social networks to language modeling, the growing scale and importance of graph data has driven the development of numerous new graph-parallel systems (e.g., Pregel, GraphLab). By restricting the computation that can be expressed and introducing new

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.
