Parallel fuzzy minimals on GPU

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
Clustering is a classification method that organizes objects into groups based on their similarity. Data clustering can extract valuable information, such as human behavior, trends, and so on, from large datasets by using either hard or fuzzy approaches.

Mapping the Arnold web with a graphic processing unit [PDF]

open access: yesChaos: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Nonlinear Science, 2011
The Arnold diffusion constitutes a dynamical phenomenon which may occur in the phase space of a non-integrable Hamiltonian system whenever the number of the system degrees of freedom is M ≥ 3. The diffusion is mediated by a web-like structure of resonance channels, which penetrates the phase space and allows the system to explore the whole energy shell.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

Graphics Processing Units and High-Dimensional Optimization

open access: yesStatistical Science, 2010
This paper discusses the potential of graphics processing units (GPUs) in high-dimensional optimization problems. A single GPU card with hundreds of arithmetic cores can be inserted in a personal computer and dramatically accelerates many statistical algorithms.

Realtime wavelet video encoding with generic graphics processing unit

open access: yes, 2022
S.73-78Wavelet video encoding with multi-resolution analysis is the base for a layered coding scheme. From one video source streams of different resolutions can be generated in one coding process.

E2A selectively regulates TGF‐β–induced apoptosis in KRAS‐mutant non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ability to induce apoptosis by TGF‐β is frequently lost in advanced lung adenocarcinoma despite intact TGF‐β signaling. We identify E2A as a mutant KRAS–dependent mediator of resistance to TGF‐β–induced apoptosis. TGF‐β induces E2A via SMAD3 in mutant KRAS cells, and E2A silencing restores apoptosis and enhances radiation response in cell lines ...

Evaluating Power and Energy Efficiency of Bitonic Mergesort on Graphics Processing Unit

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
Excessive power consumption is expected to be the major obstacle to achieve exascale performance within a reasonable power budget in the upcoming years. In addition, graphics processing units (GPUs) are expected to become a significant ingredient in the ...

Multilayer Packet Classification With Graphics Processing Units [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking, 2016
The rapid growth of server virtualization has ignited a wide adoption of software-based virtual switches, with significant interest in speeding up their performance. In a similar trend, software-defined networking (SDN), with its strong reliance on rule-based flow classification, has also created renewed interest in multi-dimensional packet ...

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...
