Graphics Processing Unit Implementation of the Particle Filter [Elektronisk resurs]

open access: yes, 2006
Modern graphics cards for computers, and especially their graphics processing units (GPUs), are designed for fast rendering of graphics. In order to achieve this GPUs are equipped with a parallel architecture which can be exploited for general-purpose ...

Ising Solver Using Vertical NAND Flash Memory

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Commercial V‐NAND flash memory is repurposed as a discrete‐time Ising solver by exploiting in‐memory current summation and read‐voltage‐controlled intrinsic noise. The system implements Hopfield neural‐network updates with simulated‐annealing‐like behavior, solving max‐cut problems with high accuracy and energy efficiency while using mass‐produced ...

Research on Diaphragm Pump Fault Diagnosis Method Based on Res‐DCB‐Net

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Nonstationary pressure pulsation signals of diaphragm pumps contain strong background noise and coupled characteristics. This makes it challenging to extract incipient fault features and to decouple faults with similar physical mechanisms. To address these limitations, this paper proposes a spatiotemporal fault diagnosis model named Res‐DCB ...

Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) Performance Optimization: Post Moore’s Law Era

open access: yes, 2019
Transistors have been increasing the graphics processing unit’s (GPU) performance since GPUs were first used to conduct scientific research. Currently, Moore’s law is becoming less relevant, and transistors are no longer able to bring a notable ...

EventFlow: Real‐time neuromorphic event‐driven classification of two‐phase boiling flow regimes

open access: yesDroplet, EarlyView.
We present a real‐time flow regime classification framework that integrates neuromorphic event‐driven sensing with deep recurrent neural networks. Unlike traditional frame‐based approaches, our system captures sparse event streams from an event‐based camera, representing only the dynamic brightness changes at the individual pixel level.

Neural network implementation on a graphics processing unit using CUDA

open access: yes, 2010
The Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) parallel architecture is now being used not just for graphics but also for general purpose computations. This emerging field of general-purpose computation on graphics hardware is referred to as General Purpose ...

Dynamic geo‐hydrogeological monitoring‐driven situational awareness for real‐time floor water inrush risk prediction in deep mining

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
The fused data extracted from the distributed monitoring system as the data basis, combined with dynamic geological data, are imported into a deep learning model. As the geological conditions of mining and excavation change, the risk of water inrush at the working face is retrieved in real time.
