ABSTRACT Land‐based aquaculture has emerged as an alternative to overcome the limitations of marine farming systems that are vulnerable to environmental fluctuations. The whiteleg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) is one of the representative species cultured in land‐based systems because it can be reared under low‐salinity (approximately 15 PSU) and high ...

Effects of Simulated Herbivory on the Thermal Resilience of Two Temperate Seagrass Species
This study investigates how reduced leaf size via simulated herbivory influences the thermal performance of temperate seagrasses. Simulated herbivory enhanced physiological performance and resilience under elevated temperatures in Posidonia australis, but not in Heterozostera tasmanica.

Feeding trials of green seaweed Ulva fasciata
For the nutritional evaluation of green seaweed Ulva fasciata, a feeding trial was performed in albino rats. The results indicated that the 20% replacement of seaweed U. fasciata instead of carrot or lettuce in rad diet causes no harmful effects, as evident by a non-significant change in blood constituents and serum enzyme levels.
