On the gravitomagnetic effects in cylindrically symmetric spacetimes [PDF]
Using gyroscopes we generalize results, obtained for the gravitomagnetic clock effect in the particular case when the exterior spacetime is produced by a rotating dust cylinder, to the case when the vacuum spacetime is described by the general ...

Miniaturizing optical gyroscopes [PDF]
Applied Optics Gyroscopes are used in many applications and can be found in devices such as position sensors, inertial navigation systems, and motion stabilizers. Science museum toys consisting of spinning wheels and gimbals illustrate the general principle of operation, but decades of research have focused on their miniaturization and developing ...

This study demonstrates a self‐assembly process to generate free‐standing piezoelectric nanomembranes, forming ultracompact microtubular acoustic wave sensors and actuators. The miniaturized 3D piezoelectric platform reported in this work can be applied in telecommunication, energy harvesting, and acoustofluidics. Moreover, the 3D self‐assembly can add

Research on Nonlinear Compensation of the MEMS Gyroscope under Tiny Angular Velocity
The Micro-Electro-Mechanical System (MEMS) gyroscope has been widely used in various fields, but the output of the MEMS gyroscope has strong nonlinearity, especially in the range of tiny angular velocity.

The problem which led to the results of this paper was the following.* Consider a gyroscopet which is rotating with high velocity about its axis, the center of gravity, 0, being fixed in space. Let a couple, 9), be applied. The axis of the gyroscope will in general describe a cone, S, whose vertex is at 0.

A fully flexible ion‐gel‐gated graphene‐channel transistor driven by a triboelectric nanogenerator enables self‐powered tactile sensing and synaptic learning. Mimicking spike‐rate‐dependent plasticity, the device exhibits frequency‐selective potentiation and depression, supporting rate‐coded neuromorphic computation even under flex.

The Frenet Serret Description of Gyroscopic Precession [PDF]
The phenomenon of gyroscopic precession is studied within the framework of Frenet-Serret formalism adapted to quasi-Killing trajectories. Its relation to the congruence vorticity is highlighted with particular reference to the irrotational congruence ...

Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...
