Peptomer Linkers Enable Kinetic Control over Co‐Delivery of Multiple Chemotherapeutics

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A key challenge in combinatorial chemotherapeutic drug delivery is independent control over release kinetics, especially with drugs of similar size and structure. Here, peptoid substitutions to proteolytically degradable peptides enabled the design of fast and slow‐releasing drug linkers.

Miniaturizing optical gyroscopes [PDF]

open access: yesScience, 2017
Applied Optics Gyroscopes are used in many applications and can be found in devices such as position sensors, inertial navigation systems, and motion stabilizers. Science museum toys consisting of spinning wheels and gimbals illustrate the general principle of operation, but decades of research have focused on their miniaturization and developing ...

Self‐Assembled Inorganic Nanomembrane Tubes: Rolled‐Up Piezoelectrics for Microacoustic Wave‐Based Actuators and Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates a self‐assembly process to generate free‐standing piezoelectric nanomembranes, forming ultracompact microtubular acoustic wave sensors and actuators. The miniaturized 3D piezoelectric platform reported in this work can be applied in telecommunication, energy harvesting, and acoustofluidics. Moreover, the 3D self‐assembly can add

Vibration Control of Tower Structure with Multiple Cardan Gyroscopes

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2017
Tower structure is sensitive to hurricane and earthquake, and it is easy to generate large deflection and dynamic response. The multiple cardan gyroscope has two rotational degrees of freedom, which can generate strong moments to constrain the two ...

Gas Damping Coefficient Research for MEMS Comb Linear Vibration Gyroscope [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Silicon-MEMS gyroscope is an important part of MEMS (Micro Electrical Mechanical System). There are some disturb ignored in traditional gyroscope that must be evaluated newly because of its smaller size (reach the level of micron).

Can one detect a non-smooth null infinity? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
It is shown that the precession of a gyroscope can be used to elucidate the nature of the smoothness of the null infinity of an asymptotically flat spacetime (describing an isolated body).

On the Gyroscope [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1922
The problem which led to the results of this paper was the following.* Consider a gyroscopet which is rotating with high velocity about its axis, the center of gravity, 0, being fixed in space. Let a couple, 9), be applied. The axis of the gyroscope will in general describe a cone, S, whose vertex is at 0.
