Precise half-life measurement of 110Sn and 109In isotopes

open access: yes, 2005
The half-lives of 110Sn and 109In isotopes have been measured with high precision. The results are T1/2 =4.173 +- 0.023 h for 110Sn and T1/2 = 4.167 +-0.018 h for 109In.

Chemical Identification of the Radioelements Produced from Carbon and Boron by Deuteron Bombardment [PDF]

open access: yes, 1935
Chemical experiments were made on the radioactive substances resulting from the bombardment of carbon and boron by deuterons. Carbon is shown to yield an isotope of nitrogen and boron an isotope of carbon.

Extended Half-Life Factor VIII and Factor IX Preparations

open access: yesTransfusion Medicine and Hemotherapy, 2018
In the last couple of years, several extended half-life factor VIII and factor IX preparations were intensively studied and gained approval. In order to extend half-lives, techniques like fusion to protein conjugates (Fc part of IgG1 or albumin ...

Comparison of kinship‐identification methods for robust stock assessment using close‐kin mark–recapture data for Pacific bluefin tuna

open access: yesPopulation Ecology, EarlyView.
In this study, we compared three methods for kinship identification using different algorithms in samples of wild Pacific bluefin tuna and generated genotyping data. The three methods resulted in different numbers of inferred kinship pairs for both generated and actual data. Particularly for the half‐sibling pairs, considerable number of false‐positive

Forage Legume Establishment under Exposure to Progressive Declines in Aminocyclopyrachlor and Aminopyralid in Temperate Pastures

open access: yesAgronomy, 2020
Legumes such as alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) and white clover (Trifolium repens L.) increase forage productivity and quality in northern temperate pastures, but require re-establishment following broadleaf weed control using herbicides.

Determining the Time of Booster Dose Based on the Half-Life and Neutralization Titers against SARS-CoV-2 Variants of Concern in Fully Vaccinated Individuals

open access: yesMicrobiology Spectrum, 2023
Although mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccines reduce the risk of severe disease, hospitalization and death, vaccine effectiveness (VE) against infection and disease from variants of concern (VOC) wanes over time.

Precise half-life measurement of the 10 h isomer in 154Tb

open access: yes, 2009
The precise knowledge of the half-life of the reaction product is of crucial importance for a nuclear reaction cross section measurement carried out with the activation technique.

Fc Sialylation Prolongs Serum Half-Life of Therapeutic Antibodies

open access: yesJournal of Immunology, 2019
The long serum t1/2 of IgGs is ensured by their interaction with the neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn), which salvages IgG from intracellular degradation. Fc glycosylation is thought not to influence FcRn binding and IgG longevity in vivo.

The immunological interface: dendritic cells as key regulators in metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) affects nearly one‐third of the global population and poses a significant risk of progression to cirrhosis or liver cancer. Here, we discuss the roles of hepatic dendritic cell subtypes in MASLD, highlighting their distinct contributions to disease initiation and progression, and their ...

An Omalizumab Biobetter Antibody With Improved Stability and Efficacy for the Treatment of Allergic Diseases

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2020
The critical role of IgE in allergic diseases is well-documented and clinically proven. Omalizumab, a humanized anti-IgE antibody, was the first approved antibody for the treatment of allergic diseases. Nevertheless, omalizumab still has some limitations,
