On Love-type waves in a finitely deformed magnetoelastic layered half-space [PDF]
In this paper, the propagation of Love-type waves in a homogeneously and finitely deformed layered half-space of an incompressible non-conducting magnetoelastic material in the presence of an initial uniform magnetic field is analyzed.

The calculation of features of X-ray radiation [PDF]
On the basis of theoretical research an algorithm was received, allowing to calculate the features of X-ray radiation: spectral resolution, mean photon energy, homogeneity coefficient, the first and the second half-value layer by means of building a ...

The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Dehydration in the tropical tropopause layer: Implications from the UARS Microwave Limb Sounder [PDF]
Measurements of H2O from the Microwave Limb Sounder (MLS) on the Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite (UARS) are used to investigate the structure of H2O in the near tropopause region and dehydration mechanisms in the tropical tropopause layer (TTL).

The corrosion performance of AlSi7Mg and AlSi10Mg alloys produced through selective laser melting (SLM) was examined under compressive stress in a chloride environment. Electrochemical analyses, including open‐circuit potential (OCP), potentiodynamic polarization (CPP), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), were complemented by scanning ...

A Workflow to Accelerate Microstructure‐Sensitive Fatigue Life Predictions
This study introduces a workflow to accelerate predictions of microstructure‐sensitive fatigue life. Results from frameworks with varying levels of simplification are benchmarked against published reference results. The analysis reveals a trade‐off between accuracy and model complexity, offering researchers a practical guide for selecting the optimal ...

Calculation of gamma-ray attenuation parameters for locally developed shielding material: Polyboron
In the present study, the mass attenuation coefficient (μm) has been calculated analytically for a locally developed shielding material, polyboron, and compared with the values obtained from the WinXCom code, a Windows version of the XCOM database at the

It is shown that laser ablation pretreatment under oxygen‐free conditions enables copper–aluminium bonding at significantly lower deformation degrees and improved properties compared to mechanical brushing. Laser ablation further increases interface contact area and induces favourable residual stress states and microstructural compatibility ...

Ionometric Half Value Layer Meter for Measurements of the Quality of X-Rays [PDF]
Abstract An instrument is described which permits the measurement of the quality of X-rays in terms of the half value layer (HVL) of a suitable filter material. It consists of two ionization chambers adjustable in volume, which are connected in opposition and linked with an X-ray dose measuring device.
