THE ROLE OF HALOGENS AND SULFUR IN APATITE FOR EVALUATION OF Cu-Ni, Fe-Ti AND Au ORES IN LATE PALAEOZOIC GABBROIDS OF THE WEST MAGNITOGORSK ZONE (SOUTH URALS) [PDF]

open access: yesМинералогия, 2015
Late Paleozoic gabbroids of West Magnitogorsk area were classified according to correlations between halogens and sulfur in apatites. For Hudolazovsky complex specialized in Cu-Ni mineralization apatites with the highest content of sulphate sulphur are ...

Chasing Charge Carriers: Diffusion Dynamics in Mixed‐n Quasi‐2D Colloidal MAPbBr3 Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Metal halide perovskites are noted for their tunable optical properties. Colloidal synthesis allows the formation of differently shaped perovskite nanocrystals with varying optical and carrier transport behavior. Three MAPbBr3 morphologies are characterized: nanoplatelets, nanosheets, and nanostripes.

Alkali and Halogen Chemistry in Volcanic Gases on Io [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
We use chemical equilibrium calculations to model the speciation of alkalis and halogens in volcanic gases emitted on Io. The calculations cover wide temperature (500-2000 K) and pressure (10^-6 to 10^+1 bars) ranges, which overlap the nominal conditions at Pele (T = 1760 K, P = 0.01 bars). About 230 compounds of 11 elements (O, S, Li, Na, K, Rb, Cs, F,

Turning non-magnetic two-dimensional molybdenum disulfide into room temperature magnets by the synergistic effect of strain engineering and charge injection [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
The development of two-dimensional (2D) room temperature magnets is of great significance to the practical application of spintronic devices. However, the number of synthesized intrinsic 2D magnets is limited and the performances of them are not satisfactory, e.g. typically with low Curie temperature and poor environmental stability.

Shape Evolution of CdSe Nanoparticles controlled by Halogen Compounds [PDF]

open access: yesChem. Mater. 26 (2014) 1813, 2015
Halogen compounds are capable of playing an important role in the manipulation of nanoparticle shapes and properties. In a new approach, we examined the shape evolution of CdSe nanorods to hexagonal pyramids in a hot-injection synthesis under the influence of halogenated additives in the form of organic chlorine, bromine and iodine compounds. Supported

A review of volatiles in the Martian interior [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Multiple observations from missions to Mars have revealed compelling evidence for a volatile-rich Martian crust. A leading theory contends that eruption of basaltic magmas was the ultimate mechanism of transfer of volatiles from the mantle toward the ...

Structure of human transthyretin complexed with bromophenols: a new mode of binding [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
The binding of two organohalogen substances, pentabromophenol (PBP) and 2,4,6-tribromophenol (TBP), to human transthyretin (TTR), a thyroid hormone transport protein, has been studied by in vitro competitive binding assays and by X-ray crystallography ...
