Acupuncture anesthesia (AA) is an application of acupuncture innovation in surgical operations, combined with anesthetic techniques, and is a model of integrated Chinese and Western medicine. We proposed the Acupuncture Anesthesia Knowledge Database (AAKD), in which all data have been meticulously curated by field experts and assessed by a multi ...

Restraint stress triggers anxiety, along with a loss of polarization and coverage of aquaporin‐4 (AQP4) in astrocytes of the frontal cortex; these effects are attenuated by blockade of adenosine A2A receptors. ABSTRACT Repeated stress triggers anxiety accompanied by a deregulation of cortical glucocorticoid receptors, which is relieved by blocking ...

Using male and female tissue‐nonspecific alkaline phosphatase (TNAP) knockout (KO) and wild type (WT) mice, we show TNAP loss impairs growth and sensorimotor function and induces marked microglial morphological changes (enlarged soma, retracted processes).

Pharmacological MRI: Utility in Understanding Drug Mechanisms in Psychiatric Disorders
ABSTRACT Pharmacological MRI (pharmaMRI) has emerged as a powerful tool to study how psychoactive drugs affect brain function and to uncover mechanisms of drug action in psychiatric disorders. This review provides an overview of key techniques used in pharmaMRI, including BOLD‐fMRI, arterial spin labeling (ASL), and cerebral blood volume (CBV) mapping,

As West Africa urbanises, the risk of Lassa fever may paradoxically decrease. We found the invasive house mouse, a dominant urban species, outcompetes and displaces the primary Lassa virus host. Considering these species interactions is critical for accurately predicting future zoonotic disease patterns.
