Genomic analyses of Actias isabellae galliaegloria reveal low genetic diversity and inbreeding, indicating a historical bottleneck and reduced adaptive potential. Climate change is projected to drastically reduce suitable habitat by 2050, driven by rising temperatures and declines in Scots pine, its primary host.

Population structure of the last Tomares nogelii (Lepidoptera, Lycaenidae) population in the European Union—A capture‐mark‐recapture study

A capture–mark–recapture study in 2025 revealed a metapopulation with a pronounced core–peripheral structure and substantial differences in local population size and phenology. Most imagines remained within local host plant patches, but rare long‐distance movements by females maintain functional connectivity among colonies.

Bacteriomes, cryptic forms and evolution of a common wireworm pest species, Hypnoidus bicolor

Wireworms are important agricultural pests, including Hypnoidus bicolor in the Canadian Prairies. Parthenogenetic and sexual populations of H. bicolor appear associated with different molecular clades. Bacterial community composition and structure were influenced by developmental stage, sampling location and host genetics.
