Hardware-in-loop emulator for water electrolysers
IECON 2016 - 42nd Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2016Modular hardware-in-loop emulator for water electrolysers is developed to study the different electrolyser power supply electronics as well as the electrolyser, for example, as an adjustable load together with renewable electricity production or frequency control. An emulator up to 405 A of continuous current is built using commercially available power

Hardware implementation of the subdivision loop algorithm
Proceedings. 28th Euromicro Conference, 2003The demand for higher quality in the graphical representation of 3D scenes is continuously increasing. Subdivision of triangular meshes is one of the most employed techniques for improving the quality of these rendered images. The high communication requirements between the CPU and the graphics system associated with this kind of method can be ...

Platform for Hardware In Loop Simulation
2016 International Symposium on Power Electronics, Electrical Drives, Automation and Motion (SPEEDAM), 2016Over the last two decades, general purpose computer has become both increasingly powerful and affordable. This, in turn, has led to the emergence of highly sophisticated applications that not only enable high-fidelity simulation of dynamic systems but also automatic code generation for implementation in real time control of electric machine-drives ...

Hardware-In-The-Loop Simulation for ABS
SAE Technical Paper Series, 1998<div class="htmlview paragraph">The prevalence of microprocessor-based controllers in automotive systems has greatly increased the need for tools which can be used to validate and test control systems over their full range of operation. The objective of this paper is to develop a real time simulator of an anti-lock brake system and the ...

A hardware-in-the-loop SCADA testbed
2015 North American Power Symposium (NAPS), 2015USF Smart Grid Power System Lab (SPS) has developed an hardware-in-loop (HIL) SCADA testbed. This paper describes several communication/control architectures of the testbed with different hardware/software combinations. This testbed will be used to test energy management schemes, power grid cyber attack and mitigation strategies.

Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulation
2015Hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL or HIL) simulation is a real-time technique that is used in the development and test of complex process systems. HIL simulation provides an effective platform by adding the complexity of the system under control to the test platform. HIL simulations are performed to provide a more robust design with the typical configuration.

Journal of Power Sources, 2006
Abstract Hardware-in-loop (HiL) methodology is well established in the automotive industry. One typical application is the development and validation of control algorithms for drive systems by simulating the vehicle plus the vehicle environment in combination with specific control hardware as the HiL component. This paper introduces the use of a fuel

Hardware-In-Loop Simulation Development
International Journal of Modelling and Simulation, 2002This work describes the development of a hybrid simulation environment to be used in order to assess the performance of a satellite launcher control system. The hybrid simulation program starts from a digital simulation program that digitally simulates the complete system, that is, the on-board computer with the control laws, the vehicle dynamics, the ...

Common hardware-in-the-loop development
SPIE Proceedings, 2009An approach to streamline the Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) simulation development process is under evaluation. This Common HWIL technique will attempt to provide a more flexible, scalable system. The overall goal of the Common HWIL system will be to reduce cost by minimizing redundant development, operational labor and equipment expense.

PowerFactory as a Software Stand-in for Hardware in Hardware-In-Loop Testing
2014Rapid prototyping and validation of power system controllers have always been a challenge. With a rapid increase in distributed energy resources (DERs) and power-electronics-based power system devices, the systems that control today’s electrical grid infrastructure are set to become more complex than ever, especially on the distribution front.
