Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) results on yaw stability control
2007 IEEE 22nd International Symposium on Intelligent Control, 2007In this work a Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) system for tracking desired vehicle behavior is developed. A two degrees of freedom control structure is proposed to prevent vehicle skidding during critical maneuvers through the application of differential braking between right and left wheels in order to control yaw motion.

Vehicle Power System Modeling and Integration in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Simulations
The last decade has seen a rapid increase in the development and launch of a large number of hybrid and electric vehicles on the world market, a trend that is expected to accelerate in the medium to long term. However, not all markets in the world follow this trend at the same speed, conventional vehicles based on conventional energy systems, as start ...

Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) simulation
Proceedings of the conference on TRI-Ada '92 - TRI-Ada '92, 1992The McDonnell Douglas Missile Systems Company (M.DMSC) guidance software group examined the feasibility of adapting anobject-oriented software development (OOSD) approach for developing a reai-time missile environment simulation. Severai object-oriented approaches were examined — including Colbert’s and Shlaer-Mellor’s Object-OrientedMethod — and ...

Efficient Integration for a Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) System
SAE International Journal of Passenger Cars - Electronic and Electrical Systems, 2010<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">The integration of a HIL system involves many software and hardware elements. During the integration process, various errors may occur. In this paper, the Design For Six Sigma (DFSS) methodology is applied to develop an integration process for a generic type of HIL system.

Hardware in the Loop (HiL) testing of a human electric hybrid vehicle
2018 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT), 2018Human Powered Vehicles (HPVs) are one of the evolving concepts for today's urban transportation especially for the short distance daily usage. The major reasons behind this evolution are the advantages of HPV applications in the sense of price, efficiency and environmental concerns.

Hardware in the loop (HILS) testing of a power electronics controller with RTDS
IECON 2013 - 39th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2013A way to simulate circuits associated with power electronics and perform HIL (Hardware In the Loop) controller testing by the simulation using a real time digital simulator is described in this paper. The benefit of using a real time simulation environment for such testing is explained.

A portable hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) device for automotive diagnostic control systems
ISA Transactions, 2012In-vehicle driving tests for evaluating the performance and diagnostic functionalities of engine control systems are often time consuming, expensive, and not reproducible. Using a hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation approach, new control strategies and diagnostic functions on a controller area network (CAN) line can be easily tested in real time, in ...

Standard Tools for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Modeling and Simulation
2007 IEEE Electric Ship Technologies Symposium, 2007This paper presents a cost effective hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environment integrated into a Simulink real-time simulation. Using an inexpensive national instruments data acquisition card in conjunction with Simulink real-time simulator, a Schweitzer engineering laboratory (SEL) relay was integrated into a Simulink power system fault transient ...

Investigation of hardware-in-loop simulation (HILS) for guidance system
2015 IEEE Advanced Information Technology, Electronic and Automation Control Conference (IAEAC), 2015Flight motion simulator (FMS) is a high-bandwidth angular motion system for the simulation of missile dynamics. This paper describes the initial laboratory integration of the hardware-in-loop Simulation (HILS) for homing guided missile system. HILS facilities and methodology form an integrated system for transforming a preliminary guidance and control ...
