Studies on Seed Peroxidase Phaseolus vulgaris cv, Haricot

Journal of Food Science, 1988
ABSTRACT Phaseolus vulgaris cv, haricot seed peroxidase was extracted and partially purified. The precipitation of an active peroxidase fraction with solid ammonium sulfate (at 35‐90% saturation) increased its activity by a factor of 3. The pH for optimum activity was 5.4.

Vulgarinin, a broad-spectrum antifungal peptide from haricot beans (Phaseolus vulgaris)

The International Journal of Biochemistry & Cell Biology, 2005
From the seeds of haricot beans (Phaseolus vulgaris), an antifungal peptide with a molecular mass around 7 kDa was purified by using a simple protocol consisting of affinity chromatography on Affi-gel blue gel and gel filtration on Superdex 75. This peptide named vulgarinin manifested an antifungal activity toward fungal species such as Fusarium ...

Characterization of Seed Lipoxygenase of Phaseolus vulgaris cv, Haricot

Journal of Food Science, 1986
ABSTRACT Phaseolus vulgaris cv, haricot seed lipoxygenase was extracted and partially purified. The precipitation of an active lipoxygenase fraction with solid ammonium sulfate (at 20–50% of saturation) increased its activity by a factor of 3. The pH for optimum activity was 7.3.

Hybridation in situ d'un gène d'aquaporine dans les nodosités de haricot (Phaseolus vulgaris) BAT477

2003
Aquaporins are water-channel proteins. In plants they are very diversified, and found in plasmalemic and tonoplastic membranes in numerous organs, including the peribacteroid membrane of N2-fixing nodules in legumes. In this work we have examined whether the expression of an aquaporin gene is tissue-specific within Phaseolus vulgaris nodules and how it

Yield components of haricot beans (Phaseolus vulgarisL.) grown at different plant densities

New Zealand Journal of Agricultural Research, 1971
Abstract At Lincoln eight haricot bean cultivars were grown at 2 in. and 4 in. spacing in 18 in. rows in 1969-70. The cultivars Small White Commercial, White Navy, Sanilac, and Seaway were superior in yield and seed size for processing. On average, plots with 2 in. spacing yielded 9.8% more than plots with 4 in.

Evaluation of some haricot bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) cultivars for growth characters and dry matter production

Advanced Journal of Plant Biology, 2021
Genetic factor is a key factor to realize optimum growth and dry matter production of crops in addition to environmental factors. Haricot beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) cultivar type is important for good agronomic performance for greater production of dry matter and grain yield.

Changes in Peroxidase Activity During the Development and Processing of Phaseolus vulgaris cv, Haricot Seed

Journal of Food Science, 1988
ABSTRACT Peroxidase activity was determined in haricot seed prior to germination, 5 days after germination, after 50 days of development and in the mature succulent green bean (80 days after germination). Specific activity of peroxidase, expressed as μ‐mole oxidized o‐dianisidine/mg protein/min, was low (38.2) before germination; it ...

Analyse quantitative des antinutriments contenus dans les graines des génotypes de haricot commun (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) biofortifié

Revue Africaine d’Environnement et d’Agriculture, 2023
Description du sujet. Le haricot commun biofortifié est une légumineuse riche en protéines peu coûteuse et renfermant beaucoup d’éléments minéraux, des vitamines et des fibres. Il constitue l’une des ressources alimentaires les plus consommées par les populations pauvres.
