Investigation of Histological Characteristics and Evaluation of Physiological Traits Damage by Low Temperature Under Different Transplanting Periods During Early Growth Period in Sweet Potato (Ipomoea batatas (L.) Lam)

open access: yesAgronomy
This study aimed to assess the phenotypic and histological characteristics of leaves, stems, and roots of sweet potato (‘Hopungmi’ and ‘Sodammi’, Korean cultivars) under the low-temperature conditions induced by early transplanting.

Yield and Oil Percentage of Safflower Cultivars (Carthamus tinctorius L.) in Spring and Summer Planting Seasons Affected by Drought Stress [PDF]

open access: yesIkufīziyuluzhī-i Giyāhān-i Zirā̒ī, 2018
To investigate the effects of drought stress on yield and oil percentage of safflower, an experiment was carried in split split plot based on randomized complete block design with four replications during spring and summer planting seasons at ...

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Assessment of Agronomic and Physiological Traits in Bread Wheat Genotypes Under Soil Salinity Stress

open access: yesISPEC Journal of Agricultural Sciences
High soil salinity is a common abiotic stress factor that seriously affects crop production, particularly in semi-arid regions of the world. In order to investigate the effect of soil salinity stress on agronomic and physiological traits of bread wheat ...

A critical analysis of "harvest index"

open access: yes, 1993
The many ways in which harvest index ratio (HI) can be used are discussed. A selection of published values for HI are given. Attention is drawn to the confusion in calculating the HI such that some present methods of assessing HI may distort the results.
