Implantable Ionic Memristors Based on Natural Polymer Heterojunctions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We report an implantable natural polymer‐based ionic memristor composed of hyaluronic acid, chitosan, and PDMS. The device achieved 98.94% accuracy in MNIST classification while reducing training time by 36.8% compared with a conventional artificial neural network (ANN).

Fusogenic RNA Nanomodules for Fusion‐Mediated and Multiplexed siRNA Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A fusogenic lipid‐layered RNA nanomodules (L‐CRAMs) enable high‐capacity and long‐lasting siRNA delivery through membrane fusion. These nanomodules carry exceptionally large siRNA payloads, avoid conventional endosomal uptake, and release multiple functional siRNAs through Dicer‐mediated processing.

The Changing Character of Carbon in Fluids with Pressure

open access: yesGeophysical Monograph Series, Page 259-269., 2020

This book is Open Access. A digital copy can be downloaded for free from Wiley Online Library.

Explores the behavior of carbon in minerals, melts, and fluids under extreme conditions

Carbon trapped in diamonds and carbonate-bearing rocks in subduction zones are examples of the continuing exchange of substantial carbon ...

A 3D‐Printed Vascular‐Like Perfusion Tumor‐on‐a‐Chip Recapitulates High‐Grade Breast Cancer With in Vivo‐Relevant Drug Resistance

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A high‐resolution 3D‐printed tumor‐on‐a‐chip platform sustains breast cancer tissues at in vivo–like cell densities through vascular‐like perfusion. This engineered system recapitulates grade‐dependent molecular features and exhibits drug‐resistance profiles that uniquely align with clinically relevant Cmax values.

Network Motif Detection: Algorithms, Parallel and Cloud Computing, and Related Tools

open access: yesTsinghua Science and Technology, 2013
Network motif is defined as a frequent and unique subgraph pattern in a network, and the search involves counting all the possible instances or listing all patterns, testing isomorphism known as NP-hard and large amounts of repeated processes for ...

Proteomic analyses reveal that ginsenoside Rg3(S) partially reverses cellular senescence in human dermal fibroblasts by inducing peroxiredoxin

open access: yesJournal of Ginseng Research, 2020
Background: The cellular senescence of primary cultured cells is an irreversible process characterized by growth arrest. Restoration of senescence by ginsenosides has not been explored so far.

Protopine/Gemcitabine Combination Induces Cytotoxic or Cytoprotective Effects in Cell Type-Specific and Dose-Dependent Manner on Human Cancer and Normal Cells

open access: yesPharmaceuticals, 2021
The natural alkaloid protopine (PRO) exhibits pharmacological properties including anticancer activity. We investigated the effects of PRO, alone and in combination with the chemotherapeutic gemcitabine (GEM), on human tumor cell lines and non-tumor ...

HDF promise for the future [PDF]

open access: yesNephrology Dialysis Transplantation, 2008
Sir, The February issue of Nephrology Dialysis Transplantation amply reported on online haemodiafiltration (HDF) as a possible promise for the future [1]. Please note the following erratum in Table 1 of the Editorial Comment, concerning our study with reference 16: high-volume HDF in postdilution was compared with high-flux haemodialysis (hfHD ...

Metal–Organic Framework‐Preserved Thermostable Microneedle Patch for Minimally Invasive Detection and Monitoring of Kidney Dysfunction

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
By growing a conformal ZIF‐8 protective layer directly on antibody‐functionalized microneedles, this work converts a fragile biosensing interface into a thermostable diagnostic platform. The MOF@MN patch enables minimally invasive NGAL detection from dermal ISF while supporting cold‐chain‐independent storage and transport for decentralized kidney ...

NICMOS observations of the HDF [PDF]

open access: yesThe 9th astrophysics conference: After the dark ages, when galaxies were young (the Universe at 2<Z<5), 1999
© 1999 American Institute of Physics. A very large group of people contributed to the success of the NICMOS HDF observation project. The entire NICMOS Instrument Definition Team contributed both the expertise to make NICMOS a reality and the large number of orbits from the GTO program needed to carry out the observations.
