Investigation on shearing strength of resistance spot-welded joints of dissimilar steel plates with varying welding current and time

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2022
The present research investigated the effects of welding current and welding time on the shearing strength of resistance spot-welded joints of low carbon steel and stainless steel plates.

Corrosion behaviour of X80 pipeline steel welded joint in H2O-saturated supercritical-CO2 environment

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2020
In this work, the corrosion behaviour of an X80 carbon steel welded joint in a H2O-saturated supercritical-CO2 (SC-CO2) environment (40°C, 10 MPa) was studied with SEM, XRD and electrochemical techniques.

The technology of thermal welding of the circulation piping of NPPS containing the influence of ultrasound

open access: yesNuclear Energy and Technology, 2017
The authors propose a thermal welding technology with ultrasound treatment for NPP circulation pipe-lines. This technology can significantly increase the strength of welded connections by reducing residual stresses, grain size and welded joint degassing.

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Heat affected zone analysis of Ti6Al4V after WEDM

open access: yesMechanik, 2019
Perspectives of applications WEDM for cutting titanium alloys are presented. There is space to explore how application of proper time parameters and the material of wire electrode for WEDM of titanium alloys affects the surface roughness, structure, the stress and the chemical composition of the formed surface layer.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Clinical Outcomes of SEEG‐Guided Radiofrequency Thermocoagulation in Children With Focal Drug‐Resistant Epilepsy: A Multicenter Real‐World Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Stereoelectroencephalography‐guided radiofrequency thermocoagulation (SEEG‐RFTC) has emerged as a safe and effective minimally invasive treatment for children with drug‐resistant focal epilepsy. Although evidence from real‐world studies remains limited, numerous pediatric cases have demonstrated promising outcomes. This retrospective
