Investigation of heat shock protein 70 gene polymorphism in Khuzestan native chickens [PDF]
Objective Heat shock protein 70 (Hsp70) are a family of molecular chaperones, which promote protein folding and participate in many cellular functions. The purpose of the study was to identify the polymorphisms of heat shock protein 70 gene of Khuzestan ...

Serum levels of Heat Shock Protein-70 in Patients with Oral Lichen Planus
Usually increased presence of Heat Shock Proteins (HSPs) is considered to mediate inflammation process in Oral Lichen Planus (OLP) lesions, but in contrast HSP-70 expression found to be stable or even decreased in those lesions. The purpose of this study

The Immunosuppressive Activity of Heat Shock Protein 70 [PDF]
Heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) has previously been described as a potent antitumour vaccine. The mechanism relied on the ability of tumour derived HSP70 to associate with antigenic peptides, which, when cross presented, elicited a T cell mediated antitumour response.

The Link That Binds: The Linker of Hsp70 as a Helm of the Protein’s Function
The heat shock 70 (Hsp70) family of molecular chaperones plays a central role in maintaining cellular proteostasis. Structurally, Hsp70s are composed of an N-terminal nucleotide binding domain (NBD) which exhibits ATPase activity, and a C-terminal ...

Circulating Heat Shock Protein 70 in Health, Aging and Disease
Background Heat shock proteins (Hsp) are ubiquitously synthesised in virtually all species and it is hypothesised that they might have beneficial health effects.

Post-transcriptional regulation of the trypanosome heat shock response by a zinc finger protein. [PDF]
In most organisms, the heat-shock response involves increased heat-shock gene transcription. In Kinetoplastid protists, however, virtually all control of gene expression is post-transcriptional.

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

Poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase-1 (PARP-1) is a highly conserved multifunctional enzyme, and its catalytic activity is stimulated by DNA breaks. The activation of PARP-1 and subsequent depletion of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) and adenosine ...

Harnessing Fungal Biowelding for Constructing Mycelium‐Engineered Materials
Mycelium‐bound composites (MBCs) offer low‐carbon alternatives for construction, yet interfacial bonding remains a critical challenge. This review examines fungal biowelding as a biocompatible adhesive, elucidating mycelium‐mediated interfacial mechanisms and their role in material assembly. Strategies to optimize biowelding are discussed, highlighting
