Targeting the PDK1/c‐Myc/SOX10 Signaling in Oligodendrocytes Alleviates Neuropathic Pain
This work reveals that oligodendrocyte homeostasis, mediated by PDK1, is a critical determinant of neuropathic pain (NPP) pathogenesis. Disruption of PDK1 in oligodendrocytes impairs SOX10‐dependent myelination programs through c‐Myc accumulation, leading to disrupted myelination and the pathophysiology of NPP.

Heat shock proteins and the cellular response to osmotic stress [PDF]
In antidiuresis, the intrarenal distribution of HSP25/27, alpha beta -crystallin, HSP72, OSP94 and HSP110 corresponds to the osmotic gradient between cortex and papilla: low amounts in the cortex and high values in the inner medulla and papilla.

A guide to heat shock factors as multifunctional transcriptional regulators
The heat shock factors (HSFs) form a family of transcription factors, which are evolutionarily conserved in eukaryotes. They are best known as transcriptional regulators of molecular chaperone genes, including those encoding heat shock proteins, in response to heat shock and other protein‐damaging stresses.

ABSTRACT Gut microbiota dysbiosis promotes colorectal cancer (CRC) tumorigenesis. A global fecal metagenomic analysis identified Gemella morbillorum as a key contributor to the CRC‐associated microbiota. Fluorescence in situ hybridization revealed that Gemella morbillorum is enriched in CRC tumor tissues compared to adjacent normal tissues.

Polymorphisms of Bovine HSP90 and Their Implications in Beef Cattle Productivity [PDF]
Production of beef cattle represents a $60 billion industry in the United States (USDA, 2015). The American beef cattle industry loses an estimated $370 million annually due to heat stress (St-Pierre, 2003).

Localized NF‐κB Inhibition Reduces Lipid Nanoparticle‐Associated Inflammation
Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) activate NF‐κB and provoke inflammation that limits therapeutic delivery. By encapsulating selective NF‐κB inhibitors within LNPs, localized suppression of inflammatory signaling is achieved without compromising mRNA expression.

Role of heat shock related genes in the physiological response of Arabidopsis thaliana to anoxia [PDF]
Heat shock proteins (Hsps) are involved in the physiological responses of all living organisms to a large variety of abiotic stress. Anoxic stress is charachterized by a decreasing in the energy and redox state of the cell, and in the production of ...

The transcription factor ATF5: role in cellular differentiation, stress responses, and cancer. [PDF]
Activating transcription factor 5 (ATF5) is a cellular prosurvival transcription factor within the basic leucine zipper (bZip) family that is involved in cellular differentiation and promotes cellular adaptation to stress.

Model of circNrip1 (cNrip1) upregulation driving neuropathic pain mechanisms. After peripheral nerve injury, increased FUS triggers the formation and upregulation of cNrip1 in injured DRG neurons. Upregulated cNrip1 recruits SYNCRIP to the 3′‐UTR of Tlr2 mRNA by binding to both, thereby promoting SYNCRIP‐triggered Tlr2 mRNA stability and increasing ...

Molecular mechanism of thermosensory function of human heat shock transcription factor Hsf1
The heat shock response is a universal homeostatic cell autonomous reaction of organisms to cope with adverse environmental conditions. In mammalian cells, this response is mediated by the heat shock transcription factor Hsf1, which is monomeric in ...
