Cytology of Hemileia Vastatrix [PDF]
SUMMARYNuclear behaviour in Hemileia vastatrix has been reexamined. A new type of unique nuclear behaviour designated as « Kamat phenomenon » by RAJENDREN (1967) could not be observed in the present studies and this confirms the earlier observations that the uredospores are strictly dikaryotic and represent the asexual stage.

Infection by Hemileia vastatrix [PDF]
RAJENDREN1 has recently published observations on the nuclear life cycle of Hemileia vastatrix in which he describes penetration of the leaf as occurring by means of a “bifid infection peg” produced from an appressorium, which he considers does not lie over a stoma.

EffResViT-SE FusionNet: A Hybrid Deep Learning Framework for Accurate Classification of Coffee Leaf Diseases. [PDF]
This study presents EffResViT‐SE FusionNet, a deep learning‐based model that combines EfficientNetB3, ResNet50, Squeeze‐and‐Excitation (SE) blocks, and a Vision Transformer for accurate classification of coffee leaf diseases. Trained on 58,555 annotated images, the model achieved 99% accuracy and outperformed baseline architectures, offering a robust ...

Isolation and selection of Hemileia Vastatrix antagonists
Organic coffee growing is rapidly increasing in Brazil, and many diseases, especially coffee leaf rust (Hemileia vastatrix), are threatening its production. This study is a first step towards a biocontrol program for coffee rust on organically grown plants.
