Climate requirements for cultivated Liberica coffee (Coffea liberica) and consequences for its use and development as a crop species

Calonectria hemileiae, an antagonist of the coffee leaf rust pathogen Hemileia vastatrix, produces low‐molecular weight secondary metabolites that inhibit urediniospore germination. These metabolites likely mediate interfungal interactions and show potential for the development of biofungicides against coffee leaf rust.
