Cytology of Hemileia Vastatrix [PDF]

open access: yesCaryologia, 1968
SUMMARYNuclear behaviour in Hemileia vastatrix has been reexamined. A new type of unique nuclear behaviour designated as « Kamat phenomenon » by RAJENDREN (1967) could not be observed in the present studies and this confirms the earlier observations that the uredospores are strictly dikaryotic and represent the asexual stage.

Incidence of Coffee Leaf Rust in Vietnam, Possible Original Sources and Subsequent Pathways of Migration

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2022
This research focused on the incidence and population genetics of coffee leaf rust (CLR) fungus, Hemileia vastatrix, to estimate the possible original source(s) and subsequent migration pathways of wind-borne and human-aided spores in three main coffee ...

Isolation and identification of antagonistic fungi on coffee leaf rust in the Dieng highlands of Banjarnegara, Indonesia

open access: yesEgyptian Journal of Biological Pest Control, 2023
Background Coffee is an important plantation crop in Indonesia. The coffee cultivation process was disrupted due to the fungus Hemileia vastatrix which causes rust disease. Biological control has the potential to suppress disease development.

Infection by Hemileia vastatrix [PDF]

open access: yesNature, 1967
RAJENDREN1 has recently published observations on the nuclear life cycle of Hemileia vastatrix in which he describes penetration of the leaf as occurring by means of a “bifid infection peg” produced from an appressorium, which he considers does not lie over a stoma.

Correlation Between Secondary Metabolites of Leaf and the Resistance to Leaf Rust (Hemileia vastatrix) on Several Arabica Coffee Clones

open access: yesIlmu Pertanian (Agricultural Science), 2019
Indicator of coffee resistance to leaf rust attack (Hemileia vastatrix) is needed to select superior coffee plants resistant to biotic stress. This study aims to find the relationship between the content of secondary metabolites and the intensity of leaf

Isolation and selection of Hemileia Vastatrix antagonists

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Plant Pathology, 2014
Organic coffee growing is rapidly increasing in Brazil, and many diseases, especially coffee leaf rust (Hemileia vastatrix), are threatening its production. This study is a first step towards a biocontrol program for coffee rust on organically grown plants.

Transcriptome Analysis Uncovers the Gene Expression Profile of Hemileia vastatrix (Race XXXIII) during the Interactions with Resistant and Susceptible Coffee

open access: yesAgronomy, 2022
Coffee leaf rust is caused by Hemileia vastatrix Berk. and Broome and is the most important coffee disease in all regions where coffee is cultivated. Here, we sought to sequence the transcriptome of H.

High-density genetic mapping for coffee leaf rust resistance. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Coffee leaf rust caused by the fungus Hemileia vastatrix causes considerable economic losses for coffee producers. Although agrochemical products can provide sufficient disease control, the use of resistant cultivars is a safer alternative.
