Effect of gibberellin on the fibers of hemp

The effect of gibberellin on the hemp plant is described. Gibberellin-treated plants show greater number of fibers as compared to controls. The individual fibers are larger in diameter, more lignified and up to ten times as long as the fibers from the untreated plants.
