Endogenous forms of fibrinogen in hep g2 cells

Thrombosis Research, 1987
The three polypeptide chains of fibrinogen, A alpha, B beta and gamma chain, are synthesized on separate polysomes. Fully formed fibrinogen is a six chain, disulfide-linked, dimeric molecule with a molecular weight of 340kDa. Previous pulse-chase studies with L-35 S methionine using the human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line, Hep-G2, showed that the ...

Lipid and lipoprotein metabolism in Hep G2 cells

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Lipids and Lipid Metabolism, 1988
Lipid composition, lipid synthesis and lipoprotein secretion by the Hep G2 cell line have been studied with substrate and insulin supplied under different conditions. The lipid composition of Hep G2 cells was close to that of normal human liver, except for a higher content in sphingomyelin (P less than 0.005) and a lower phosphatidylcholine ...

Drug metabolism by the human hepatoma cell, Hep G2

Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1987
The human liver-derived cell line, Hep G2, has aryl hydrocarbon hydroxylase and 7-ethoxycoumarin o-de-ethylase activities. Partial purification of cytochrome P-450 from Hep G2 cells provided spectral evidence of this hemeprotein in the purified fraction.
