TLR7 Mediates HIV‐1 Tat‐Induced Cellular Senescence in Human Astrocytes
Once internalized into endolysosomes, HIV‐1 Tat interacts and activates TLR7, causing endolysosome damage. Such interaction between HIV‐1 Tat and TLR7 also leads to a senescence‐like phenotype in astrocytes, including cell cycle arrest, elevated levels of p21 and p16 proteins, increased SA‐β‐gal activity, and enhanced secretion of SASP factors ...

Explants of human postmenopausal ovarian cortex and medulla were treated with doxorubicin for 24 h followed by culture for up to 10 days in doxorubicin‐free medium. Single nuclei sequencing and proteomics revealed an unbiased signature of ovarian senescence driven by epithelial cells in the cortex and stromal cells in the cortex and medulla ...

Heparan sulfate proteoglycans present PCSK9 to the LDL receptor. [PDF]
AbstractCoronary artery disease is the main cause of death worldwide and accelerated by increased plasma levels of cholesterol-rich low-density lipoprotein particles (LDL). Circulating PCSK9 contributes to coronary artery disease by inducing lysosomal degradation of the LDL receptor (LDLR) in the liver and thereby reducing LDL clearance.

Role of IL‐34 in Tumors and Its Application to Regulate Inflammation
IL‐34 and its receptors. ABSTRACT Interleukin (IL)‐34 is a relatively recently discovered cytokine which binds to colony‐stimulating factor‐1 receptor (CSF‐1R). So far, there has been no clear explanation as to why CSF‐1R requires two ligands. While CSF‐1 is ubiquitously expressed, the expression of IL‐34 is relatively restricted.

Exercise Delays Brain Ageing Through Muscle‐Brain Crosstalk
This graphical abstract illustrates the reciprocal crosstalk between the brain and peripheral organs, highlighting the profound impact of exercise on brain health through systemic interactions. It underscores how exercise influences the brain via signals from various organs and, conversely, how the brain modulates functions of peripheral organs.

Abstract Albuminuria, the abnormal presence of albumin in urine, is a key marker of kidney damage and a strong predictor of kidney and cardiovascular outcomes. Its clinical significance has evolved from early historical observations to its current role in chronic kidney disease (CKD) detection, risk stratification and treatment monitoring.

Osteochondrosis in horses: An overview of genetic and other factors
Abstract Osteochondrosis (OC) is a frequent manifestation of developmental orthopaedic disease, and its severe clinical presentation is known as OC dissecans (OCD). OC is defined as a disruption of the endochondral ossification process in the epiphyseal cartilage, and this disease has been reported in different mammalian species, including humans, dogs,

Solid tumors have a complex extracellular matrix (ECM) that can significantly affect tumor behavior and treatment response. Understanding the role of the ECM is therefore critical for understanding tumor biology and improving therapeutic responses. In this study, we isolated primary cells from a DMBA‐induced tumor mass to generate three‐dimensional ...
