Measurement of Active Thrombin Bound to Circulating D‐Dimers as a Sensitive Biomarker for Prothrombotic Conditions

Scheme of preparation of D‐dimers and evaluation of D‐dimer‐bound thrombin activity. Thrombin bound to fibrin participates in ongoing fibrinogen transformation and its inhibition is impeded.
