Long‐Term Safety Profile of Ruxolitinib in Chronic Myeloproliferative Neoplasms: A Comprehensive Real‐World Analysis

open access: yeseJHaem, Volume 6, Issue 6, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Introduction Ruxolitinib is a key therapeutic option for patients with myeloproliferative neoplasms. Its short‐term toxicity profile is well‐established, but long‐term safety data remains scarce. Methods We aimed to evaluate toxicity associated with long‐term exposure to ruxolitinib (defined as 3 years or longer) through a dual‐cohort ...

Optimising Vaccination Status in a Belgian Dermatological Immune‐Mediated Inflammatory Disease Population: An Education‐Based Pro‐Active Patient‐Centred Approach

open access: yesJEADV Clinical Practice, Volume 4, Issue 5, Page 1033-1038, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Patients with dermatological immune mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs) are increasingly treated with immunosuppressive and ‐modulating drugs. Some of these drugs increase the risk of acquiring infections and more complications can arise during an infection while treated with these agents.

Modular Nanosensing Platforms for Tuberculosis and Beyond: Engineering Biomaterials Toward Cross‐Pathogen Diagnostic Universality

open access: yesMedComm – Biomaterials and Applications, Volume 4, Issue 4, December 2025.
Modular nanosensing platforms utilize nanomaterials and functionalized interfaces to amplify trace different pathogens (like tuberculosis) antigen capture, suppress matrix interference, and enable multiplex detection. Their portability and cost‐effectiveness support rapid screening in resource‐limited settings and real‐time monitoring, advancing high ...

Immune Modulation Through Long‐Term Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus Therapy in Home Mechanically Ventilated Patients

open access: yesMicrobiologyOpen, Volume 14, Issue 6, December 2025.
Antibiotic resistance crisis drives the search for innovative antibacterial solutions. Probiotics, particularly Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus GG ATCC 53103 (LGG), show promise in preventing bacterial infections and reducing antibiotic use. LGG has well‐documented health benefits and can strengthen the immune system, especially in chronically ill ...

Adaptive Evolution and Distinct Mutation Signatures of Full‐Length HBV Quasispecies in HBeAg‐Negative Chronic Hepatitis B

open access: yesMicrobiologyOpen, Volume 14, Issue 6, December 2025.
HBeAg‐negative chronic hepatitis B harbors a highly heterogeneous HBV quasispecies shaped by region‐specific selection. Adaptive strategies underpinning viral persistence include: BCP/PreC mutations supporting replication, PreS/S mutations enabling immune evasion, and overlapping Pol/S mutations maintaining viral fitness.
