Solute carriers (SLC) and ATP‐binding cassette (ABC) transporters are essential for placental solute exchange and fetal protection, yet their transcriptomic profiles in the human placenta remain poorly characterized. Although fetal sex influences placental development and function, its impact on transporter expression is unclear.

LXRα and PPARα Mediated Hepatic Lipid Metabolic Disruption Induced by the UV Filter EHMC in 2D and 3D HepaRG Cell Models

Dietary UV filter EHMC induces hepatic steatosis in HepaRG cells at noncytotoxic concentrations. Mechanistically, EHMC binds nuclear receptors (LXRα, PPARα), upregulating SREBP‐1 to accelerate fatty acid synthesis. These findings highlight the potential metabolic toxicity of widespread EHMC exposure through food sources.

Safety and Metabolic Effects of Withania somnifera Seed Extract and Powder in Rats: Insights From DPP‐4 Molecular Docking

Withania somnifera seed extract and powder improved metabolic parameters in rats, particularly at higher extract doses, without evident hepatic, renal, hematological, or histopathological toxicity. Molecular docking further predicted strong DPP‐4 inhibitory potential of withanone, supporting the antidiabetic potential of W. somnifera seeds.
