KAT7‐acetylated and cytoplasm‐translocated G‐protein GαS enhances IL‐6 effect and drives HCC progenitor cell progression. Abstract Background and Aims Hepatocarcinogenesis goes through HCC progenitor cells (HcPCs) to fully established HCC, and the mechanisms driving the development of HcPCs are still largely unknown.

Abstract Background and Aims Peroxisome proliferator‐activated receptor α (PPARα) regulates fatty acid transport and catabolism in liver. However, the role of intestinal PPARα in lipid homeostasis is largely unknown. Here, intestinal PPARα was examined for its modulation of obesity and NASH. Approach and Results Intestinal PPARα was activated and fatty

Pterin-4a-carbinolamine dehydratase/dimerization cofactor for hepatocyte nuclear factor-1α is a protein with two different functions. We have overexpressed and purified the human wild-type protein, and its Cys81Ser and Cys81Arg mutants. The Cys81Arg mutant has been proposed to be causative in a hyperphenylalaninaemic patient [Citron, B. A., Kaufman, S.,

Hepatocyte nuclear factor-1 alpha (HNF-1 alpha) and HNF-1 beta are transcription factors that contain a divergent homeodomain, bind to DNA as homo- or heterodimers, and act to regulate transcription of many genes that are expressed primarily in liver.

In sepsis‐induced liver injury, marked neutrophil infiltration correlates with disease severity. Neutrophil SLC11A1 drives intracellular Fe2+ and ROS via the Fenton reaction, promoting NETs formation. Hepatocyte‐derived CXCL10 recruits neutrophils and activates the JAK/STAT1/SLC11A1 axis, enhancing NETs‐mediated inflammation.

Physiological activation of myeloid p38 controls macrophage IL‐12 production and crosstalk to the liver by modulating hepatic FGF21, and subsequently, brown adipose tissue thermogenesis during obesity Abstract Obesity features excessive fat accumulation in several body tissues and induces a state of chronic low‐grade inflammation that contributes to ...
